Muc-Off Luxury CC
Muc-Off isn't a brand you'd normally associate with products to apply to your more sensitive areas. Better known for bike washes, degreasers and lubricants it seems strange at first glance that they brought out their own chamois cream.
But in 2015 Muc-Off thought they'd put their 25 years of experience into developing the best chamois cream money could buy, did they achieve it?
They set out to develop a formula that excluded nasty parabens and toxins, making sure that the cream is infused with essential provitamin moisturisers to help create a long lasting hydrated feeling on your skin. The luxury formula uses natural ingredients including aloe vera, witch hazel, shea butter and sunflower oil to create a mild cooling effect for total riding comfort. Chamois cream is designed to form a protective barrier to help prevent skin damage on sensitive areas, it’s also anti-bacterial and ideal for all riding styles from road to mtb. So how does it perform?
First impressions are good, the packaging is nice with a hexagonal prism shaped box and a clean modern design.

Inside is a traditional round tub filled nicely to the top with the off white cream.

The cream itself is mildly scented with aloe and shea, no over powering menthol here.
It's easy to scoop up and applies very well with good coverage and an even barrier layer.
I've been using this cream for months now and am on my third tub - I'm really happy with it. I use it on every kind of ride from my 9 mile commute to epic days out conquering the Blwch and Rhigos, durability is good.
It's easily comparable to other creams; Strip, Elite, Rapha and Chapeau to name a few that I've used.
At an rrp of £19.99 for 250ml it represents good value, it is however often on sale from for circa £12-13 making it a bit of a bargain.
